Don’t Disturb Your Partner’s Sleep – Wear cpap machines for sleep

November 9, 2022 • By

Sleep apnea is one of the most common sleep disorders. Sleep apnea causes breathing to stop momentarily during sleep, which can lead to mental and physical health problems. At least one in five adults has it, but with a lack of awareness and understanding, the number is significantly higher. The good news is that there are treatments for it. Sleep apnea can be treated with a cpap machine.

Worn within an enclosed space, the mask can help the body relax and breathe more deeply through your nose and throat. Over time, it can change the way you sleep and minimize the symptoms of sleep apnea. It comes in many different types and designs, but they all have one goal—to help you get better sleep.

What All Cpap Machines Do

All cpap machines for sleep do the same basic thing: they filter the air so that it is breathed through your nose and throat instead of your mouth. They generate negative air pressure, which forces more air into your lungs. When you exhale, that extra air is released from pressure in your lungs and travels back to the cpap machine.

The machine then forces this out through a hose connected to your mask. This mechanism allows you to breathe deeply and normally during sleep, which prevents occasional breathing pauses during sleep (sleep apnea) that would otherwise cause quite a bit of damage to your brain, heart and other organs.

It’s not just limited to the air. A cpap machine can also deliver a heated or humidified air supply through the mask. This is another way to keep your body at a comfortable temperature during sleep. There are several types of cpap machines on the market that can deliver heated or humidified air.
